Movingui is an exotic species native to West Africa. The tree can reach a height of about 40 meters and a diameter of 1.2 meters. Movingui is easy to machine, but hard metal tools are recommended due to the presence of silica in the wood which causes a dulling effect on tools. Pre-drilling is recommended for nailing and screwdriving. Finishing and bonding properties are quite good.
Appearance:
Movingu has a light yellow to orange-brown color that darkens over time. It also often exhibits figured veining patterns such as mottled or curled.
