Ayous, a tree originating from West Africa, is known as an easy-to-process species thanks to its soft and light structure. It is easy to color and does not deform very little after drying, which makes Ayous a highly preferred tree species. It is also preferred by sauna manufacturers as it makes the heat feel less.

It has a pale yellow-white color.
