Medium-to-high density White Oak is the most dominant species growing in the hardwood forests of North East America and Southern Canada. Red oak, which has a rapid growth feature, can have a height of 20-30 meters and a diameter of 1 meter. Pre-drilling is recommended for screwing and nailing Red Oak, a relatively easy-to-work species.
Appearance
It has a characteristic ring-porous vein pattern. Oak, which has a solid, heavy and dense structure, has a sapwood from white to light brown in color and heartwood from pink to red-brown.
